2016 - Logo Design for Local Company
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
I recently designed a logo for a local landscape lighting company called Beautification Through Illumination. This company specializes in brightening homes with outdoor lighting, and I wanted to exude that in their logo.
PROJECT DIRECTION
I decided to go in the direction of simplicity, therefore I kept the color palette minimal. I wanted to use yellow to accompany the lighting theme.
WORK IN PROGRESS
It was difficult for me to really capture the image of a lighting fixture in a graphic depiction. In the left image I tried to work with shadows and possibly a light beam. Things got too dark and very unprofessional. In the right image, I attempted to recreate a real lighting fixture, and use it's light beam to illuminate the text. The client wanted a more minimal and polished look, and therefore I ended up manifesting the final result. I kept it simple with three aligned letters, and depicted the light fixture as the tittle of the letter "I".
FINAL ANALYSIS
The client was very happy with the way the logo turned out, and also had a lot of constructive criticism throughout the process. They were very involved and were thrilled with the end result.
